	In Classics Club, Tempesta’s Adam Pearl sets the keyboard ablaze playing Bach’s dazzling 5th Brandenburg Concerto, alongside music that surrounded and inŒfluenced Bach by Vivaldi, Scarla‰tti, Couperin, Telemann and even Pachelbel’s famous Canon. October 4, 5 & 6.
	Tempesta co-founder and co-director Richard Stone opens this season’s recital series with solo lute and theorbo music by Bach, Weiss, de Visée and Castaldi, October 27 and November 10. You’ve always wished you could hear more lute, and now you can.
	Holiday in Paris recreates Telemann’s 1737 musical trip of a lifetime and fulfillment of his heart’s desire. He went to Paris, where he performed and exchanged ideas with his hosts: the composers Blavet, Forqueray, Guignon and Guillemain. November 23 & 24.
	How much can love hurt? That’s what tenor Aaron Sheehan sings about in A Secret Flame. We perform songs and chamber music from the time of Louis XIV by Lully, Charpentier and Lambert, including scenes from Actéon and Orphée. January 25 & 26.
	CPE Bach turns 300 this season, and Gwyn Roberts, Karina Schmitz and Adam Pearl celebrate it on our recital series with Happy Birthday Carl Philipp Emanuel. They will perform some of his most modern works on flute, viola and harpsichord. February 9 and 16.
	Violinist Rebecca Harris plays musical meditations for Holy Week from Heinrich Bieber’s Mystery Sonatas, accompanied on theorbo by Richard Stone. Each of these powerful sonatas reflects on the rosary’s Joyful, Sorrowful or Glorious mysteries. April 13 & 27.
	The Orchestra moves into the Kimmel Center for Apollo at Play, a program dedicated to Lully. Hear Lully’s ballet music to Le Bourgeois gentilhomme alongside two tributes: Apollon enjoüé by his student J.S. Kusser, and Apollon musagète by Igor Stravinsky. March 8.
	The Orchestra portrays the forces of our blue marble in Éléments, alchemy and nature in music. Hear Rebel’s creation ballet, Les Éléments, storms and magic in Marais’ Alcyone, and life along the mighty Elbe in Telemann’s Hamburger Ebb’ und Flut. June 7.
