Hot off the press, our newest CD of Bach’s Trio Sonatas, BWV 525–530, as we’ve reimagined them for chamber ensemble. Each piece’s character comes to life as conversations for six to two performers, showing the composer at his most imaginative, deep, wicked, jaunty and even hard-rocking.

In the upcoming program, Elements, June 7 at the Kimmel Center, Tempesta salutes a moment when nature got big. In the 1600 and 1700’s, the outdoors beckoned and people went out to meet it. They might not have gone all the way to doffing wigs and panniered skirts to run barefoot across the fields. But they started down the path.
