Say farewell to Tempesta di Mare’s energetic Program Coordinator and say hello to the new music director of one of the country’s most influential churches in social justice as Jennifer Hayman assumes her new post of Director of Music and Arts at Washington’s All Souls Church Unitarian in just a few weeks. Congratulations, Jen!
All Souls is the job Jen has trained for. A professional pianist and singer, she received an interdisciplinary bachelor’s in music industry and performance at Syracuse University, with Performance Honors in both voice and piano, and a master’s in music education with honors at the College of Saint Rose in Albany. She caught the conducting bug at Saint Rose’s while serving her graduate assistantship to the head of the choral department. Since relocating to Philadelphia, she has taken advantage of its proximity to Princeton for postgraduate training in choral conducting at Westminster Choir College, and she founded the Chestnut Street Singers, Philadelphia’s Cooperative Chamber Chorus, which she has led for the past three seasons.
We are so proud of Jen for the recognition of her talents that the post bestows.
Please join us in wishing Jen good fortune and farewell as she embarks on the next chapter of her career. We at Tempesta are so proud of her for landing such a fine job with all the recognition of her talents that the post bestows. Moreover, we are especially pleased to welcome her to the ranks of musicians whose day job is being a musician. We’ll miss you!
